Dump Truck Driver (Class A)

The Class A Dump Truck Driver hauls construction materials such as broken concrete, sand, dirt, and rock, and is comfortable operating on highways, city roads, and active construction sites with uneven terrain. Safety, reliability, and compliance with DOT regulations are essential.

Responsibiilities

  • Safely transport construction materials to and from job sites
  • Operate a Class A dump truck on public roads and off-road construction sites
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Complete trip logs and load documentation in compliance with DOT regulations
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures
  • Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
  • 2+ years of dump truck experience in a construction environment
  • Experience driving on uneven terrain and active job sites
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations and required documentation
  • Ability to perform routine inspections and basic maintenance
  • Strong commitment to safety, dependability, and attention to detail
  • Capacity to work Monday through Friday regularly, and Saturdays as-needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and remain seated for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience hauling gravel, asphalt, demolition debris, or other heavy construction materials
  • Familiarity with construction job site operations
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for day-to-day servicing
